Hestia Support CIC aims to improve awareness of the challenges facing people who are homeless and issues relating to homelessness in particular for refugees and people seeking asylum.
We provide facilities for training, rights advocacy, employability skills with the purpose of improving health and wellbeing and enabling individuals to become more effective members of their community.
We are committed to promoting equality and diversity and fostering better understanding between people from diverse backgrounds.

THE COMMUNITY WE SERVE.
Bolton is the 34th most deprived local authority out of the 354 local authority districts in England (2019) and in recent years there have been increases in unemployment, poor health and crime rates.
The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities identified that 1,493 households in Bolton sought council support after becoming homeless between April 2020 and the end of September 2021.
Existing provision is scattered, reactive and difficult to engage with for many homeless people across Bolton and we are determined to tackle these problems. Hestia Support leadership team bring a track record of supporting homeless people including refugees and asylum seekers after delivering a number of overseas projects.

HOW WE CONNECT WITH OTHER AGENCIES & BENEFICIARIES.
Hestia Support CIC’s strategy is to help prevent people from Bolton and those that are refugees and asylum seekers from becoming homeless and assisting them when they have become homeless.
We will work with local agencies and those with lived experience to develop advocacy provision across Bolton through in person workshops and direct advocacy. We count on volunteers and those with local knowledge to support our beneficiaries and welcome support from our community.
